The recently uncovered pictures and videos of Iraqi prisoners being abused by American soldiers along with the beheading of an American civilian by Al Khaida operatives have been examples of an appalling disregard for human life and dignity. What's really sickening though is that these events are being used as material for political maneuvering. And they're not even being subtle about it! They could at least pretend to show some concern about the human condition in this area they are trying "to save."
