PSI lab

For the past few months, Neil and I have struggled with our teaching so much that we really haven't had time to fix up the lab, much less do any experiments. Over the sem break however, our research assistant, Karen Manalastas, was hired and she worked really, really hard at cleaning up the lab, taking inventory and figuring out what functioning equipment we "owned." Last week, Neil extracted RNA from bone samples from Mutch, did his RT-PCR and then successfully amplified their target genes from the cDNA. With this experiment, we are now officially a functioning lab. Now to find money...
