When it rains...

This was supposed to be a more upbeat post, pero sa kasamaang palad, di pa rin "happy" yung post na 'to. Ewan ba kung anong nakain ko at sinubukan kong i-purify yung proteins ko from my salvaged supernatants, but I did it. Yesterday, I ran the gel to check if I got anything. Late afternoon, I destained my gel and saw nothing in my eluates. Pampalubag-loob, sabi ko sa sarili ko, it's just not destained enough yet. Tingnan ulit bukas. May lalabas siguro. This morning... wala... as in WALA!!!

Syet. Isang taong trabaho, down the drain. In denial pa ako nung una. OK lang ako... pero nakatunganga lang ako sa makeshift office namin. Half an hour later, umupo ako sa tabi ni Neil tapos di ko na matiis. Umiyak na lang ako. One year of my life... for nothing! Haaay...

Am currently running another gel, with more stuff on it, hoping that there's something there and there was just so little I didn't see it the last time. Pero di na talaga ako umaasa. Kinain na siguro ng mga proteases in the media yung protein ko.

Uwi na lang ako. Next year na lang ulit mag-trabaho pag nasa New Orleans na kami.
